Walter established Stillwater Wealth Management, Inc. in 2009 and serves as financial advisor and owner of the firm. He has been in the financial services industry since 1989 and today teams with experienced CPAs, attorneys and other financial professionals to better serve clients and to provide a wide range of tax-wise solutions to their unique financial situations.

Walter holds the designations of:

• CFP® - CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™
• CTFA - Certified Trust and Financial Advisor
• CDFA® - Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®

Walter received his Bachelor of Science in business administration from Florida State University in 1989. He has passed the FINRA Series 7 and 63 exams as well as his life, health and variable licenses exams. He is an experienced insurance agent, Registered Representative with securities registrations held through LPL Financial, trust officer and financial planner and has worked with large brokerage firms, banks, insurance companies, CPA firms and Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) firms. Prior to Stillwater Wealth Management, Inc., he was the CEO and president of a local RIA for six years.

Walter originally became a part of the financial services industry in order to help others work toward and achieve their goals, and he continues to enjoy being part of a process that helps his clients live their dreams. He is a member of the Financial Planners Association of Northeast Florida, the Estate Planning Council of Jacksonville, the Financial Services Institute and the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts, and he is also the former president of the Florida Bankers Association Graduate LII Trust School.

Being active in the community has always been important to Walter. He has served as an advisory board member and fundraising event co-chair of the American Cancer Society. He has been a Stanton College Preparatory School varsity football coach, as well as a coach for Stanton's women's lacrosse team. He volunteers as a coach for youth baseball, football and soccer leagues. He also is involved as a Jacksonville Humane Society Foster Parent.

Walter lives in Jacksonville with his wife, Andrea. He also has two children (Tac and Mary-Mac), a chocolate lab (Bandit), a rescue dog (Lola) and a cat (Charlie). Walter is an instrument rated private pilot, and enjoys traveling and taking part in a variety of outdoors activities with his family — boating, hiking, camping, surfing and paddle boarding, to name a handful.
